Director of Nursing Services - Extended Care Facility St. Luke Community Healthcare Extended Care Facility is currently searching for a customer service oriented and experienced Director of Nursing Services (DNS). The DNS manages the overall operation of the 75 bed Extended Care Facility (ECF). The DNS oversees approximately 45 employees in the ECF, Activities and Social Services Departments. The DNS ensures departments are in compliance with current federal, state and local standards governing long term care facilities and activities as directed by Administration to ensure that the highest degree of quality care will be provided to the residents at all times. The DNS will participate actively in the clinical and patient care of the ECF. The successful candidate will be a licensed registered nurse who has demonstrated five years' progressive leadership and management experience in a hospital, long term care facility or other healthcare related facility. The candidate must be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing as well as medical practices, procedures, law, regulations and guidelines governing long term care. Nursing Home Administrators License preferred. The successful candidate must have a passion for working with the elderly and place high importance on fostering good resident and family relationships. Must have effective and professional verbal and written communication skills particularly for communicating with residents, families, personnel, and support agencies. Must possess the ability to remain calm under stress and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions, distractions and deadlines St. Luke Community Healthcare is a community owned non-profit organization nestled at the base of the Mission Mountains.
