The Polson Lady Pirates volleyball team concluded its season — winning one of the three matches they played during the Western A Divisional Tournament Thursday through Saturday at Whitefish School.

The Lady Pirates team struggled in Divisionals, falling to Corvallis in three games. Then, Polson bounced back with a quality victory over Dillon in a loser-out match — defeating Dillon 25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-9.

Polson had plenty of contributors that aided in their victory against Dillon statistically. Led by setter Berkley Ellis, who contributed with 37 assists, Mikaela DuCharme and Maggie also both registered double-digit kills. DuCharme finished with 17, and Todd had 12. Paige Noyes led the team with 20 of their 98 digs, and the team collected a total of 11 aces throughout the contest.

After the Lady Pirates defeated the Lady Beavers, they had the task of facing Columbia Falls, one of the top-tier teams in the conference. C-Falls swept the Lady Pirates, 25-15, 25-16, 25-12, officially ending Polson’s season under first-year head coach Lizzy Cox.

Todd and DuCharme, who both registered in double-digit kills against Dillon, combined for only 14 kills in the loss. Other contributors included Lauren Faulkner, who led the Lady Pirates with three blocks.
